Abstract :

In research related to fungicides, the development of compounds from natural products with high antifungal activity has attracted considerable attention. Fusaric acid (FA), an alkaloid isolated from the metabolites of Fusarium oxysporum, is an important precursor for developing pharmacologically active herbicides. In our previous work, we reported that FA has a wide range of inhibitory activities against 14 plant pathogenic fungi. In particular, it exhibited excellent antifugal effects on Colletotrichum higginsianum (EC50 = 31.7 mu g/mL). Herein, to explore the practical application in the agricultural field, the design and synthesis of three series of FA derivatives and their inhibitory activities against plant pathogenic fungi were examined. Results demonstrated that the optimized FA derivatives had excellent inhibitory activities against C.higginsianum, Helminthosporium (Harpophora maydis), and Pyricularia grisea. In particular, the inhibitory activities were considerably improved when the 5-butyl groups of FA were substituted. The EC50 of C. higginsianum and P. grisea was only 1.2 and 12.0 mu g/mL when 5-butylalkyl groups were substituted with 5-([1,1 '-biphenyl]-4-yl) and 5-phenyl, respectively. Moreover, the safety index of target compounds, which was obtained from the treatment index of medicines, on rice seeds was evaluated. Finally, 16 leading compounds (H4, H22-H24, H27, H29, H30-H34, H37, H45, H50, H52, and H53) were obtained; they had considerable potential for additional modification and optimization as agricultural fungicides. Moreover, three-dimensional quantitative structure-activity relationship models were developed for obtaining a systematic structure-activity relationship profile to explore the possibility of more potent FA derivatives as novel fungicides.

Abstract :

At present, people pay attention to the development of ecological agriculture, and more and more scholars at home and abroad have begun to study biological control. The comprehensive promotion and application of biological control is beneficial to environmental protection, the input cost is low, and the control effect is remarkable. The ratio of actinomycetes in the rhizosphere of plants and soil is relatively large, and actinomycetes can produce biologically active compounds, which are also the most potential biocontrol factors. Rational use of secondary metabolites produced by actinomycetes, which is often referred to as antibiotics, is used as the main substance for the manufacture of pesticides. This pesticide is free of any pollution, can be regenerated, and will not lead to enhanced biological resistance, and can be industrialized. A large number of different types of microorganisms live in the plant rhizosphere soil. The main function of the plant root system is to produce a large amount of exudates. These exudates, as the main substances and nutrients of the microorganisms in the soil, will directly determine the structure of the rhizosphere microbial colony. Nowadays, technologies such as detection of products, isolation of bacterial species, and structural identification have developed rapidly, and the study of rhizosphere actinomycetes and antibacterial activity has become the dominant. The experimental method was combined with the dilution plate separation method to separate the vanilla orchid rhizosphere soil bacteria and actinomycetes. The results showed that the number of soil bacteria and soil actinomycetes in different media was different, and the medium with the largest number of strains was R2A, which had the highest number of strains. The strains with antibacterial activity in the rhizosphere soil were screened, and the diversity and antibacterial activity of actinomycetes were studied. It was concluded that G29 actinomycetes had broad-spectrum antibacterial activity. Based on its identification based on the 16S rRNA gene sequence method, the results showed that the G29 actinomycete strain was S. costaricanus. Except for the pH value of 5.0, it can be applied to various pH value environments and has strong antibacterial activity.

Abstract :

Nitrile imines are highly reactive and versatile dipoles and conventionally generated in situ from unstable hydrazonyl halides under basic conditions. Herein, we report the first green and userfriendly protocol for in situ generation of nitrile imines from Oxone- KBr oxidation of hydrazones and base-promoted dehydrobromination. The nitrile imines were demonstrated for 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition with various dipolarophiles, including alkene and alkyne groups. With its green nature, ease of operation, and air and moisture tolerance, we expect our method will find wide applications in organic synthesis.

Abstract :

The total synthesis of potent anti-obesity lansiumamide B was accomplished in four steps using commercially available materials. The synthetic strategy, featured with copper-catalyzed Buchwald coupling, is concise, convergent, practical and can be carried out on a one-gram scale. This approach could give either Z- or E-configured enamide moiety in natural products with absolute stereocontrol and was applied in the total synthesis of natural products.

Abstract :

为加快杂交莲瓣兰快繁体系的建立,以莲瓣兰(♀)与墨兰(♂)杂交种胚萌发形成的根状茎为外植体,在培养过程中,从基本培养基、NAA、6-BA、碳源、天然复合物和活性炭共6个方面对其增殖和分化的影响开展研究,并进行分子鉴定。结果表明,适宜莲瓣兰根状茎增殖的最佳基本培养基为N6;NAA浓度为0.5 mg/L适宜根状茎增质量,浓度为4.0 mg/L侧枝增加更明显;果糖为最佳碳源;不加天然复合物有利于增殖;活性炭浓度为5.0 g/L增殖效果最好;分化的最佳激素比为0.5 mg/L NAA+2.0 mg/L 6-BA。最后经分子鉴定,杂交种与所选取的包括亲本在内的10种兰花亲缘关系较远,应为杂交新品种。

Abstract :

Triterpenoids possess a wide range of biological effects. Here, the cytotoxic activities of 55 triterpenes and derived glycosides against BEL-7404 and SGC-7901 cells were assessed, and structure-activity relationships were analysed accordingly. Nine of them effectively inhibited the two cell lines. In particular, compounds 49 and 52 inhibited BEL-7404 cells as efficiently as 5'-fluorouracil (IC50 values 0.46 and 1.48, respectively). Moreover, we found that compounds 49 and 52 induced apoptosis in BEL-7404 cells. Indeed, DNA fragmentation assay showed a time-dependent degradation of DNA after treatment of cells with compounds 49 and 52. In addition, Bax gene expression levels were increased after treatment with these compounds, in a concentration-dependent manner. Taken together, our findings suggested that compounds 49 and 52 induce apoptosis in BEL-7404 cells by upregulating the Bax gene without affecting Bcl-2 gene expression.

A new approach has been developed for the synthesis of 8-substituted 2H-chromenes, featuring a novel cascade aromatic Claisen rearrangement/o-quinone methide formation/6 pi-electrocyclization. This new method was demonstrated with 28 examples tolerating different substitutions at alkenes, allylic and aromatic ring and with total syntheses of three 2H-chromene natural products.

累积嫁接对黄瓜雌雄花及花粉萌发的影响 PKU

Abstract :

通过插接法对接穗黄瓜和砧木黑籽南瓜进行多次累积嫁接,研究不同嫁接次数黄瓜雌雄花的生物学性状和花粉在不同温度下萌发率的变化。结果表明,巨丰八号黄瓜接穗生长节间数分别为2~10节位、11~20节位、大于20节位时,其黄瓜雄花的花梗长、花瓣长、总长和质量均显著高于自根苗,且雄花梗长随嫁接次数的增加呈先增加后略降低趋势,2~10节位嫁接的花梗比其他更长;盛花期时,嫁接黄瓜的雌花其果梗长、花瓣长和总长显著大于对照,而子房长度显著小于对照,2次嫁接的黄瓜子房最短;嫁接的黄瓜花粉萌发率显著高于对照,且具有一定耐低温和高温特性;10、35℃处理下,花粉萌发率随嫁接次数提高而提高。累积嫁接具有一定的性状累积效应,这为嫁接诱变育种提供了基础资料。

Abstract :

Dove tree, Davidia involucrata Baill. which is endemic in western China, is not only one of the best known relict species of the tertiary, but also a famous ornamental plant with dove-shaped flowers. A diverse array of secondary metabolites have been isolated and identified from Davidia involucrata. The 58 structures of the secondary metabolites were presented and classified as triterpenoids, tannins, phenolic compounds, lignans, flavonoids, alkaloids, and sterol. In addition, the biosynthetic route of some triterpenoids was proposed. Moreover, the advances in the discovery of unprecedented compounds and uncovering of notable bioactivities were highlighted in this review.
