Sustainable Bamboo Fiber-Tannin Composite Foam: A Green Substrate for Vertical Greening Systems SCIE

Abstract :

Tannin-based biomass foam was prepared through a self-foaming process at room temperature. The material's density, porosity, microstructure, mechanical properties, thermal stability, limiting oxygen index (LOI), brittleness, as well as water absorption and retention properties, were studied. Adding 2% bamboo fibers in varying forms did not affect the uniformity of the foam cells. The density, porosity, thermal stability, and LOI of the foam material remained largely unchanged. The compressive strength of the unmodified tannin foam was 0.043 MPa, while the addition of 2% bamboo fibers increased the compressive strength by 72%. Even when the effect of density was excluded, the specific compressive strength was enhanced by 60%. Additionally, brittleness, measured as the slagging percentage, was significantly reduced from 16.12% to 4.78%. The modified foam could absorb up to 26.5% of its weight in water, with excellent water retention capabilities of 78.1% after 120 h while retaining its structural integrity under intermittent wetting conditions, making it suitable for vertical greening applications. This demonstrates its suitability for vertical greening applications, where moisture exposure is frequent. In conclusion, the bamboo fiber-reinforced tannin-based foam exhibits excellent mechanical properties and superior water absorption and retention performance.

利用CiteSpace软件对国内外自然保护地健康效益研究进行梳理归纳.结果表明,自然保护地健康效益相关研究年发文量总体呈逐年上升趋势;发文量排名前三的国家分别为美国、中国和英国;相关研究者之间的合作关系还不够密切;研究关键词主要有体能活动、生物多样性、管理、环境等;研究成果主要集中在环境科学、生态学、社会科学等领域.研究结果表明:亲近自然环境有助于人们减轻压力、恢复注意力、降低患心血管疾病概率、提升社会幸福感等.最终,结合实际,从理论研究与实践探索两个方面,对我国自然保护地建设提出建议.

福建省森林康养基地空间分布特征及其驱动机制

Abstract :

森林康养产业是林业与健康养生融合发展的新业态,厘清森林康养基地的空间分布特征及驱动机制可有效指导森林康养基地的空间资源分配,促进康养产业可持续发展。本研究以福建省森林康养基地为例,采用计量地理分析方法对其空间布局进行实证分析,并借助地理探测器解析各驱动因素对森林康养基地空间分布的影响机理。研究结果表明福建省森林康养基地空间总体呈现“五核四点两带”的大聚集、小分散格局,其空间分布特征是各维度因素共同作用形成的结果,其中基地分布与旅游景区等资源分布呈正相关,而与区位交通、市场需求、社会经济维度驱动因子的分布存在部分空间错位。在此基础上,研究构建了福建省森林康养基地空间布局--驱动机理模型,并提出产业发展布局建议,以期为福建省森林康养产业的高质量可持续发展提供理论依据和技术支撑。

Abstract :

“新工科”的提出,掀起了一轮高等教育的“质量革命”,而构建动态、循环控制的本科专业高质量教学保障体系是应对不同时代、不同社会需求下稳步提升高校专业教学质量的教学保障。文章以福建农林大学风景园林一流本科专业为例,首先分析了PDCA循环理论和OBE理论运用于本科高质量教学保障体系构建的思路;其次融合PDCA理论的计划(Plan)、执行(Do)、检查(Check)和处理(Action)四个环节,构建风景园林一流本科专业高质量教学保障体系框架;最后重点从培养方案优化、教师团队教学能力提升、健全教学监管和整改制度等方面提出了教改措施。

Is Farther Better? The Effects of Social Distance on Restoration In Different Virtual Reality Natural Settings EI

Although the restorative benefits of natural exposure have been quantified through physiological and psychological pathways, numerous studies have intentionally constructed idealized natural settings with ‘no one’ (i.e., the absence of people) to minimize interference. This deliberate approach has raised concerns about the accuracy of these restorative results, as real-world settings invariably involve ‘someone’. To address this gap, in this study, we designed and executed a randomized controlled experiment to explore the restorative potential of natural settings within seven distinct social distances (0–0.5 m, 0.5–1.3 m, 1.3–3.8 m, 3.8–7.5 m, 7.5–20 m, >20 m, and nobody) across five landscape types in a virtual reality environment (mountain, forest, ocean, wetland, and desert). We then assessed physiological indicators such as diastolic blood pressure (DBP), systolic blood pressure (SBP), pulse rate (PR), galvanic skin response (GSR), and psychological indicators from the Restorative Component Scale. The results revealed that beyond a social distance of 3.8 m, the presence of people had minimal impact on the physiological restorative benefits offered by natural settings. In terms of psychological restoration, no significant differences were observed in three psychological indicators (‘being away’, ‘extent’, and ‘compatibility’) within the social distance range of 7.5–20 m compared to environments without individuals. However, when the social distance exceeded 20 m, psychological restoration, specifically in terms of ‘extent’, ‘compatibility’, and ‘fascination’, significantly surpassed that of natural settings without anyone present. Notably, landscape type did not exert a significant impact on psychological restoration. This study expands the exploration of restorative effects in natural environments from idealized scenarios without people to practical, real-world settings with human presence. The findings provide valuable insights for the planning and design of therapeutic natural settings. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

供需失衡背景下非正式绿地更新潜力及策略研究——以福州市鼓台中心区为例

我国经济社会发展步入新常态,城市发展开启存量更新模式。居民绿地需求与绿地空间不足之间的矛盾日益凸显,已有研究证明,非正式绿地在城市建成环境中具有良好适应性,能够有效解决城市面临的一系列社会和生态问题,具备较大发展潜力。聚焦于绿地低供高需的城市区域,以福州市鼓台中心区为例,通过实地调研挖掘供需失衡区范围内可利用的非正式绿地资源。从时、空间可用潜力两个维度确定影响非正式绿地发展潜力的评价指标,建立多目标优化模型;引入帕累托前沿理论,利用Matlab中非支配排序遗传算法求解得出调研区域内对非正式绿地进行更新改造的多个解集的优先层级。最后基于综合评估结果和三种不同的场地类型提出非正式绿地的更新策略,为高密度老旧城区绿地的存量更新发展提供借鉴。

Urban parks, as important carrier of outdoor physical activity, can effectively reduce the incidence of chronic diseases and promote public health. The accessibility of parks directly affects residents' levels of physical activity. However, current accessibility assessments do not consider physical activity needs into account and are unable to adapt to the current developmental needs of a healthy China. We propose a framework for evaluating park accessibility oriented towards a physical activity service perspective. First, we introduced a park attractiveness index based on physical activity preferences. The index encompasses not only objective park features but also subjective environmental perception features, which are evaluated using deep-learning techniques. Furthermore, the size of the park catchment area was correlated with the park attractiveness index, and the likelihood of park selection based on people's physical activity preferences was computed. Fuzhou City's Gulou District was selected for this case study. The results show the following: (1) Our proposed evaluation model can identify more underserved neighborhoods in scenarios geared toward physical activity requirements than traditional approaches. (2) The distribution of parks in the Gulou District was not sufficiently balanced, with the accessibility value at the 90th percentile only slightly higher than the average value of 6.35. There was obvious spatial differentiation, with a pattern of high values in the central area and low values in the surrounding areas. (3) Approximately 12.70 % of the population is located within service-blind zones and the overall level of accessibility is poor. This study offers novel ideas and approaches for optimizing the spatial layout of urban parks within a health-oriented framework. This aids planners and policymakers in enhancing the spatial layout of parks and ensuring equitable access to urban parks that foster physical activity.

Landscapes in urban waterfront spaces are of high societal value as they can meet people's physical, psychological, and social needs for health and well-being, but the relationship between waterfront landscape features and public health benefits has yet to be clarified. From the perspective of blue health, this paper takes blue spaces along the Min River of Fuzhou City as the research object. It constructs the mediation model of "Waterfront landscape characteristic (WLC)-> Water-friendly environmental preference (WEP)-> Emotional benefit (EB)". The role of WEP in the mechanisms linking WLC and EB in different waterfront spaces was explored through the quantification of indicators, questionnaires, and physiological measurements. The main results showed that (1) the ability of different types of waterfront spaces to arouse positive emotions in the population is characterized by blue-dominated space > co-dominated space > green-dominated space, while the opposite is true in terms of inducing negative emotions; (2) green visibility, blue visibility, naturalness, water-friendliness, and openness are all significantly related to EBs and could affect positive emotions either directly or mediated by WEPs, but openness seems not to affect negative emotions through WEPs; (3) cleanliness affects the population's WEP for the coherence dimension, but has no significant role in improving EBs. This study could expand new ideas for research in habitat health, provide a reference for embodied evidence-based waterfront landscape design, and help promote the construction and development of healthy cities.
