Abstract :
This article presents a cutting-edge smart energy system that combines solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC) with compressed air energy storage (CAES) to improve electricity generation while shaving the peak demand with minimal carbon dioxide emission. The novel technology works with SOFCs under high pressures, substantially enhancing their efficiency compared to what can be achieved under normal atmospheric conditions. In addition to enhancing efficiency, the system intelligently incorporates wind turbines to meet the energy requirements of the CAES compressors. The strategic utilization of renewable energy enhances total power production and aligns with sustainable energy objectives, demonstrating a potential progression in intelligent energy management. An in-depth analysis assesses the feasibility of integrating this smart system, considering several factors such as thermodynamics, exergo-economic, sustainability, and the environment. The non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm is employed to identify an ideal design condition with the aid of an artificial neural network, guaranteeing a balanced attainment across all performance indicators. The proposed integration results in a net power, energy cost, and CO2 index of 480.6 MWh, 215.7 USD/MWh, and 460.8 kg/MWh, highlighting the value of increasing the operating pressure of SOFC through the integration of CAES and adding more wind turbines to increase renewables. The parametric assessment shows that the net power and total cost increase by 250 MWh and 4 USD/h, signifying the importance of multi-objective optimization. The scatter matrix indicates that the compressor pressure ratio is insensitive while keeping wind velocity close to the lower domain achieves the best optimal condition. The optimization achieves a higher net power of 171.8 MWh and a lower energy cost of 137.6 USD/MWh. Also, it enhances the exergy efficiency by 12.9 % and reduces the CO2 index by 57 kg/MWh when prioritizing exergo-environmental facets.

Abstract :
This study examines the impact of service variability on customer-perceived service quality across various stages of the customer experience journey. Through a behavioral experiment, the findings reveal that the overall perceived service quality is influenced by the interplay between the mean and variability of service quality. Positive variability can elevate service quality at specific phases, yet its impact is contingent on the average service level. Moreover, the order in which positive and negative variability occur contributes to shaping overall perception. The research also indicates that new guests are more susceptible to variability than repeat customers. This study enriches the debate between consistency and unpredictability in service offerings, providing valuable insights to refine tourism service design and enhance overall customer satisfaction.

Abstract :
This study investigates the factors influencing quality management systems (QMS) in the agri-food supply chain (SC), specifically focusing on Fuding White Tea. We employed a comprehensive case study methodology, conducting four rounds of data collection between 2021 and 2022. Primary data were gathered through 36 semi-structured interviews with stakeholders involved in the Fuding white tea supply chain quality management (SCQM) ecosystem. The programmed grounded theory is used to identify three key components: participant traits, internal development and system enhancement. Shadow cases, like Anxi Tieguanyin and Wuyi Rock Tea, were integrated. The study reveals how Fuding White Tea's experiences compare with others, enriching understanding of traditional and modern QMS. The findings offer theoretical insights and practical guidance for enhancing agri-food SC quality management.

Abstract :
This study explores how factor endowment, digital transformation, and institutional quality influence high-quality tourism economic development through the lens of endogenous growth theory. Using data from 30 Chinese provinces (2010-2019), it applies panel regression and fuzzy-set Qualitative Comparative Analysis (fsQCA) to identify key drivers. Findings reveal three distinct pathways to high-quality tourism economic development, with digital transformation emerging as a universal driver, even in regions with weak institutional support. Challenging conventional institutional perspectives, we demonstrate that institutional quality's impact is not uniformly positive but context-dependent. Strong digital capabilities or abundant resources can effectively compensate for institutional weaknesses. The study extends endogenous growth theory to tourism and offers valuable guidance for policymakers to optimize resource allocation, accelerate digital transformation, strengthen institutional frameworks, and promote region-specific tourism strategies while fostering regional integration to ensure sustainable and high-quality tourism economic development.

Abstract :
To evaluate the performance of exponentially weighted moving average (EWMA), cumulative sum (CUSUM) and Shewhart charts for monitoring the time between events (TBE), the conditional expected delay (CED) indicator is applied in this paper as a new metric. The Monte Carlo simulation is performed to obtain the CED profiles, which are plotted for different parameter settings. Under different upward or downward change sizes, a detailed comparison is conducted among these TBE charts. The results show that both EWMA TBE and CUSUM TBE charts outperform the Shewhart TBE chart in terms of the CED profiles under both small and large changes. Moreover, both the EWMA and CUSUM TBE charts have their own strengths and weaknesses under certain specific changes and a guide on selecting EWMA or CUSUM TBE chart based on the change sizes is provided. Finally, a real dataset of organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) failure time from Samsung company is applied to show the feasibility of the CED indicator in monitoring the process.

以2010—2022年沪深A股上市企业为样本,实证检验及多次稳健检验企业数字化转型对盈余管理的影响。结果表明,数字化转型会促进企业负向的真实盈余管理;影响机理是数字化转型的提高会促进企业研发投入,增加管理层进行真实盈余管理的空间、动机和能力,进而促进了企业真实盈余管理。异质性检验发现,在非国有企业中,数字化转型对真实盈余管理的促进作用更强。

PurposeDespite its crucial role in ensuring food safety, traceability remains underutilized by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), a vital component of China's agricultural supply chain, thereby compromising the integrity of the supply chain traceability system. Therefore, this study sets out to explore the factors influencing SMEs' adoption of traceability systems and the impact of these factors on SMEs' intent to adopt such systems. Furthermore, the study presents a model to deepen understanding of system adoption in SMEs and provides a simulation demonstrating the evolutionary trajectory of adoption behavior.Design/methodology/approachThis study considers the pivotal aspects of system adoption in SMEs, aiming to identify the influential factors through a grounded theory-based case study. Concurrently, it seeks to develop a mathematical model for SMEs' adoption patterns and simulate the evolution of SMEs' adoption behaviors using the Q-learning algorithm.FindingsThe adoption of traceability among SMEs is significantly influenced by factors such as system attributes, SMEs' capability endowment, environmental factors and policy support and control. However, aspects of the SMEs' capability endowment, specifically their learning rate and decay rate, have minimal impact on the adoption process. Furthermore, group pressure can expedite the attainment of an equilibrium state, wherein all SMEs adopt the system.Originality/valueThis study fills the existing knowledge gap about the adoption of traceability by SMEs in China's agricultural supply chain. This study represents the pioneer study that identifies the factors influencing SMEs' adoption and examines the effects of these factors on their traceability adoption, employing a multi-methodological approach that incorporates grounded theory, mathematical modeling and the Q-learning algorithm.

文章探讨中小旅游企业组织韧性有助于提升其应对外部冲击和市场波动的能力,从而增强企业的持续发展和竞争力。通过文献综述和专家访谈,揭示了影响中小旅游企业组织韧性的关键因素,并利用决策试验与评价实验、解释结构模型和交叉影响矩阵相乘法(DEMATEL-ISM-MICMAC)对这些关键因素间的逻辑关系进行了分析。领导力被确认为根本驱动因素,关键在于其塑造企业应对挑战能力的作用。组织架构、合作、员工发展和组织文化等因素在加速决策、提高执行效率和促进跨部门协作中发挥重要作用。政府支持则为企业提供了必要的资源和政策环境。综上所述,通过强化领导力、优化组织架构,并充分利用政府支持,可以有效增强中小旅游企业的组织韧性,以应对市场挑战和不确定性。

Abstract :
As a measure of quality characteristics, the ratio of two normal random variables (RZ) has been adopted to be monitored by different schemes. As has been shown in some existing works, the CUSUM-RZ and EWMA-RZ schemes operate well in detecting small and medium changes. On the other hand, the Shewhart-RZ scheme performs well in detecting large changes. However, practically, a variety of changes may occur in processes. To improve the sensitivity of these existing RZ schemes to different sizes of change, the combined RZ monitoring schemes are proposed. Using the Monte Carlo simulation, the statistical property of the constructed schemes is simulated. A detailed comparison is made between the existing Shewhart-RZ, CUSUM-RZ, EWMA-RZ and the developed combined RZ schemes. The results reveal the excellent performance of combined RZ schemes. For practical implementation, the benefits of the proposed charts applied to the food industry are shown in an example.

As diseases, natural disasters, and man-made disruptions become more frequent and severe, enhancing the resilience of agri-food supply chain operations poses an increasing challenge.This study aims to identify and analyze the key capabilities and impact factors contributing to agri-food supply chain resilience (AFSCRE). By conducting a comprehensive literature review and engaging in expert consultations, fifteen significant capability factors were identified. We utilized the decision making trial and evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) technique to determine and categorize AFSCRE factors into cause and effect groups. Subsequently, we employed interpretive structural modelling and a cross-impact matrix multiplication applied to classification (ISM-MICMAC) to establish interrelationships among these factors. The results indicated supply chain leadership is a fundamental factor for fostering AFSCRE, which is located at the bottom level of ISM hierarchy. Moreover, the study identifies the importance of government support in developing AFSCRE. The findings of this study can guide supply chain leaders and government officials to initiate targeted activities for improving resilience.
