Research on the impact of sports event image on tourism loyalty in heritage sites: An empirical study based on the Yongding Tulou marathon SCIE

Abstract :

Heritage tourism related to sports events is widely recognized as a new paradigm of integration between culture, sports, and tourism. By combining sports events with world heritage sites, it attracts more tourists to pay attention to world heritage, serving as an important practice for the protection and sustainable development of world cultural heritage. However, the academic community still lacks discussions on its composition and impact effects. This study, based on the event of the 2022 Yongding Tulou Marathon in Fujian, constructs a multiple impact model of sports event events on tourist loyalty to heritage sites, integrating social and market perspectives. It follows the logic of "recognition-emotion-behavior" and uses PLS-SEM for empirical testing. PLS-MGA is conducted based on tourist demographic characteristics to explore the impact of different consumer group characteristics on the influencing paths. The results show: (1) The image of sports events is an important factor affecting tourist loyalty and the image of heritage sites, but it is difficult to directly influence tourists' sense of place attachment; (2) The image of heritage is more deeply rooted in the heart, prompting tourists to develop loyalty and attachment to the heritage site, while attachment can also directly stimulate tourist loyalty; (3) The image of sports events can enhance the cognitive image of heritage through positive tourist experiences, thereby improving tourist loyalty to the heritage site. Additionally, the image of sports events can also stimulate tourists' heritage image and sense of place attachment, ultimately strengthening loyalty to the heritage site; (4) Demographic variables such as gender, age, frequency of participation, and monthly running distance are key factors affecting the mechanism through which the image of sports events influences destination loyalty. The research findings not only reveal the theoretical process of how the image of event events influences multiple behaviors of tourists at heritage sites but also provide a comprehensive perspective and methodological tools for the study of sustainable development of world heritage sites. They also offer theoretical references for managers to effectively leverage the positive effects of developing sports tourism projects in heritage tourism destinations.

以武夷山国家公园为研究对象,基于SOR理论模型的“刺激-有机体-反应”机制,采用多元统计分析方法分析环境感知与游客亲环境行为之间的关系。研究发现:(1)环境感知中地方氛围对游客亲环境行为产生正向影响,而景观感知与旅游疗愈不能直接对游客亲环境行为产生影响;(2)情绪状态在游客行为形成中发挥重要中介作用,但自然联结无法在环境感知与亲环境行为中形成显著中介作用;(3)游客外倾性负向调节景观感知对情绪状态的预测作用。研究结果揭示了不同环境感知对游客亲环境行为的影响过程,将游客个体特征与客观环境相结合,提出了要形成景观布局合理化,增强游客与自然的情感联系;发挥森林康养的疗愈功能,促进游客身心恢复;加强国家公园的环境保护,增加游客的亲环境行为等建议。

In the era of the experience economy, the tourist experience has become a key factor in the development of tourist destinations. Unlike traditional sightseeing experiences, tourism cultural experiences allow for engagement in cultural activities at the destination, thereby fostering a deeper emotional connection with the local community, which subsequently influences tourists' citizenship behavior. The "Village Basketball League" in Taijiang County, Guizhou Province is characterized as a form of tourism cultural experience with high integration and strong involvement. This study presents the "Village Basketball League" in Taijiang County as a case study. Grounded in SOR (Stimuli-Organism-Response) theory and involvement theory, this study explores the influencing factors of tourist citizenship behaviors from the perspective of the integration of culture and sports and constructs a structural equation model that includes tourism cultural experience, tourists' involvement, flow experience, and tourist citizenship behaviors. Data analysis was performed using SmartPLS 4.0 on questionnaires completed by 314 tourists. The results indicate that: (1) The tourism cultural experience positively affects tourist feedback behaviors, tourist recommendation behaviors, and flow experience; (2) Flow experience positively influences tourist feedback behaviors and recommendation behaviors; (3) Flow experience serves as a mediator between the tourism cultural experience and both tourist feedback behaviors and tourist recommendation behaviors; (4) Tourists' involvement negatively moderates the predictive effect of tourism cultural experience on flow experience. The research findings offer valuable insights for decision-making regarding the development of tourism destinations and offer guidance for tourism development and management.

基于生态系统服务簇的珠江源区生态功能分区

识别生态系统服务簇,进行珠江源生态功能分区,为珠江源区土地利用格局优化、生物多样性保护、生态修复以及土地资源精准管控提供理论指导与技术支撑。研究基于InVEST模型和食物供给模型对珠江源区2010—2020年的生境质量、土壤保持、水源供给、碳储量和食物供给5项重要生态系统服务进行评估,运用Python平台实现轮廓系数算法并确定最佳聚类数,通过SPSS软件进行K-means聚类分析识别生态系统服务簇,并基于XGBoost机器学习算法,结合SHAP模型解释法探讨了生态系统服务簇的影响因素。结果表明:(1)珠江源区自然生态系统服务功能总体上呈现退化趋势。生境质量、碳储量和水源供给高值区占据珠江源区大多数地区,土壤保持呈现南北两侧高于中部的空间格局,食物供给与土地利用分布较为一致。(2)生态保育区乡镇数占比不断上升,主要分布在珠江源区北部和东南部的山地丘陵;城镇发展区乡镇数占比保持不变,位于珠江源区中部麒麟区;供给服务区乡镇数占比变化不大,分布在珠江源区中部和西南部平原。(3)坡度、生产总值和人为影响指数对生态系统服务簇的形成有着较为重要的影响,自然环境因素仍是生态系统服务的决定性因素。

Research on the Impact of Climate Change Perceptions on the Carbon Offset Behavior of Visitors to Wuyi Mountain Forestry Heritage Site SCIE

Forestry heritage tourism can spread the ecological concept of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature, and it is a nature-based solution to climate change. However, how tourists are guided to form an emotional identity and how their attention to climate change issues can be stimulated continuously remain unclear. Therefore, in this study, we selected the Wuyi Mountain Forestry Heritage Site as our study site and employed PLS-SEM to analyze the responses of 384 tourists, thereby examining the underlying mechanism linking their perceptions of climate change to carbon offset behaviors within forestry heritage sites. The results showed the following: Perceptions of climate change had a positive and significant impact on carbon offset behavior (beta = 0.310, p < 0.001), ecological identity had a positive and significant impact on carbon offset behavior (beta = 0.375, p < 0.001), and the sense of environmental responsibility had a positive and significant impact on carbon offset behavior (beta = 0.226, p < 0.01). At the same time, ecological identity and environmental responsibility play an intermediary role, and the impact of climate change perception on the carbon offset behavior of tourists at forestry heritage sites is moderated by tourists' health attitudes. In addition, gender, age, and educational background have an impact on the process of carbon-offsetting behavior development at forestry heritage sites. This research further clarifies the internal logic of tourists' carbon offset behavior in the context of heritage tourism, helps to enrich the theoretical system of Nbs and heritage tourism research, and provides a feasible reference for the realization of the SDGs.

Amid environmental pressures and sustainable development challenges at Agricultural Heritage Sites, this study explores the impact mechanism of host-guest value co-creation on tourists' environmental responsibility behaviors, with a focus on the mediating role of psychological ownership and the moderating effect of emotional inertia. Grounded in Affective Events Theory, hierarchical regression and Bootstrap sampling were employed, analyzing 384 questionnaires from tourists at the Anxi Tieguanyin Tea Culture System. The findings reveal: (1) Host-guest value co-creation directly promotes tourists' environmental responsibility behaviors; (2) psychological ownership serves as a mediator in the relationship between host-guest value co-creation and tourists' environmental responsibility behaviors; (3) emotional inertia, an individual characteristic, not only moderates the influence of host-guest value co-creation on psychological ownership but also the transmission effect of psychological ownership. These insights uncover the influencing mechanisms of tourists' environmental responsibility behaviors at Agricultural Heritage Sites, offering theoretical support for the sustainable management of such sites.

Impact of Specialized Cultivation Evolution on Ecosystem Services in Anxi Tea Gardens SCIE

Abstract :

The specialization of tea gardens represents a significant pathway to enhancing the international competitiveness of agriculture. However, it may also disrupt the supply-demand balance of ecosystem services. This study addresses this gap by focusing on the specialized tea zone of Anxi as a case study. Using the InVEST model, we quantitatively assessed four key ecosystem services between 1990 and 2020: carbon storage, habitat quality, water yield, and soil conservation. The findings reveal that tea gardens perform relatively well in terms of carbon storage and habitat quality. However, their capacity for water conservation is limited, and soil conservation is highly susceptible to human disturbance. Dynamic transitions between tea gardens and forests have exerted considerable influence on changes in ecosystem services, with policies and practices aimed at converting tea plantations back to forest demonstrating a positive role in ecological restoration. Finally, guided by the principles of nature-based solutions, this study proposes targeted strategies to provide scientific support and practical references for sustainable development in specialized agricultural regions.

基于辐射效应的粤港澳大湾区旅游经济结构演变研究

Abstract :

粤港澳大湾区发展区域旅游能够助力打造宜居宜业宜游生活圈,使其拥有更强且更持续的旅游经济影响力。基于旅游辐射效应理论,运用动态因子分析评价11个城市旅游竞争潜力作为辐射效应发挥的基础,通过引力模型对大湾区旅游经济联系进行探讨,分析2014—2021年旅游辐射潜力变化特征及原因。结果表明:(1)在竞争潜力方面,广港澳深4个城市8年因子得分加总为正,其中广州和深圳基础辐射能力相对稳定,香港和澳门基础辐射能力受到发展韧性不足的影响;(2)在辐射潜力方面,粤港澳大湾区多中心发展趋势显著,东莞和佛山发挥着“承上启下”的次中心城市功能,但辐射结构的不对称性,以及竞争与辐射潜力之间的不协调性也同样突出;(3)对主要旅游城市辐射能力的分析表明,目前粤港澳大湾区内已经形成“广—佛—江—肇”“深—港—莞—惠”“澳—珠—中—江”“广—莞—惠”“澳—港”5条主要的辐射纽带。

Abstract :

The establishment of a new type of natural protected area system with national parks as the main body is an inevitable trend of current development, and it is also an important ways to build a more beautiful China. During tourist visits, the national park will promote a variety of ways to enhance the ecological values of tourists. Ecological values can strengthen tourists' sense of identity, but their impact on tourists' pro-environmental behavior is not discussed. Based on this, Wuyishan National Park, a world natural and cultural heritage, is selected as the case site, and the PLS-SEM analysis method is used. An empirical test was conducted on 358 valid samples collected in the field. The results show the following: (1) tourists' ecological values and place identity can positively affect their pro-environmental behaviors; (2) place identity plays a mediating role between ecological values and tourists' pro-environmental behavior; (3) place dependence and place identity play a chain mediating role between ecological values and tourists' pro-environmental behavior; (4) according to the PLS-MGA test, gender and age can play a moderating role on the influence of ecological values on pro-environmental behavior. Therefore, the managers of national parks should pay attention to the cultivation of ecological values and consider tourist attraction, as well as formulating marketing strategies and other policy suggestions according to the different characteristics of tourists. The findings of this study offer both practical guidance and a theoretical underpinning for advancing ecological tourism within the framework of natural protected areas, with national parks playing a central role.

What kind of UGA is effective for heritage tourism marketing? Matching effects of human elements and review types SSCI AHCI

Abstract :

User-generated advertising (UGA) is critical to heritage tourism marketing. However, there is a research gap on the impact mechanism of UGA essential elements. Through three scenario experiments, this study explored the matching effects between human elements and review types in UGA of heritage sites and discussed these effects on potential tourists' online interactive behaviours. The findings revealed that (1) graphics with human elements are more effective when paired with subjective experience reviews, while graphics without human elements are better suited for cultural attribute reviews. (2) Matching effects positively influence potential tourists' online interactive behaviours, and psychological distance and awe play mediating roles in this influencing process. Our work provides significant insights for heritage tourism advertising marketing and contributes to the tourism advertising research framework and the marketing competitiveness of heritage sites.
